With a Property Inventory Business you’ll be creating detailed reports documenting the cleanliness and condition of rented properties. This is an integral process to the lettings industry. Without one, the landlord will have a difficult time claiming for any issues caused by the tenants, and tenants can potentially end up paying for problems they didn’t cause.
Typically, there are 2 – 3 reports created during a tenancy – The inventory report, the check in report & the check out report. You’ll be meeting tenants, welcoming them to the property and signing over the keys at check in after completing your inspection. Once the tenants have moved out, you’ll be creating a check out inspection which directly compares the property to it’s cleanliness and condition at the beginning of the tenancy.
Alongside all this, you’ll be building relationships with Letting Agents and Property Managers by keeping them updated with any urgent issues that need seeing to at the property – or just giving them peace of mind knowing the property is in good condition and thoroughly documented.
